Although we had known of each other for years because our dads grew up as friends, we did not truly get to know one another until 2019 at Community Church in Guthrie. We spent Wednesday nights together at youth group and attended Falls Creek that summer, where we became close friends. After camp, we began spending more time together on Wednesdays after youth group and on the weekends. We officially started dating on December 18, 2019, and just a few days later went on our first official date to the OCS Winter Formal.

A few months later, the world shut down due to COVID, and we spent several weeks apart, staying connected mostly through FaceTime. Once we were able to see each other again, we had to get creative with our dates, often enjoying picnics in the car. After graduating high school, Jackson attended Oklahoma State University while Emilee went to Oklahoma Christian. We spent several weekends in Stillwater and attended as many OSU football games as possible. Throughout the years, we have enjoyed traveling, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and simply being together.

On August 9, 2025, Jackson proposed on the rooftop of Plenty Mercantile in downtown OKC. Since then, we have loved planning our wedding and are excited to begin our lives together as a married couple.
